A woeful stat has emerged surrounding Leeds United loanee Weston McKennie after Leeds United were relegated on the final day of the Premier League season.
Needing to win and hope that both Everton and Leicester City lost to have any chance of survival for another season, the Yorkshire side were thrashed 4-1 by a Harry Kane-inspired Tottenham while both the Toffees and the Foxes picked up three points, leaving Sam Allardyce’s Leeds condemned to the Championship next season.
It was the culmination of a series of awful decisions, including poor managerial choices, poor recruitment and a lack of any accountability from those in positions of power at Elland Road, but their season has perhaps been summed up best by the loan spell of Weston McKennie.

Arriving on loan in January from Serie A side Juventus to work under then-Leeds boss Jesse Marsch, his compatriot was sacked just a week later, to be replaced by Spanish coach Javi Gracia.
The 24-year-old USMNT midfielder has racked up over 40 appearances on the international stage, as well as nearly 100 for Juve, but never looked like fitting into a Leeds side that leaked goals on a regular basis, and looked even less at home when international teammate Tyler Adams was forced to miss the last months of the season through injury.
Now, an altogether surprising stat has emerged that paints the 24-year-old as perhaps one of the worst loan signings in Premier League history.

He wasted no time leaving Elland Road either, spotted on a train bound for London just hours after the final day defeat, no doubt trying to put some distance between himself and his nightmarish time in Yorkshire.
