Manchester United host Arsenal in a Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
The two teams are historic rivals and whilst neither club is at the level they once were, Sunday’s match should still be an exciting affair.
Arsenal headed into the weekend’s action as the only side with a perfect record in the Premier League.
However, the Gunners have some injury issues, and they are expected to be without both of their senior defensive midfielders in gameweek six.
As for Manchester United, they have strengthened in the market and have since won three in a row following a shambolic start to 2022/23.

Not too much thought needs to be given to this. Both David de Gea and Aaron Ramsdale are excellent shot-stoppers. However, De Gea is very poor with his feet, which limits his side’s ability to play out from the back.
RB: Diogo Dalot
Ben White has played very well in his less natural position of right-back this campaign. However, despite looking defensively poor vs Brighton and Brentford, Diogo Dalot has been in great form more recently.
The Portuguese has the joint-most assist of all PL full-backs in 2022/23, the most chances created (1.6), joint-most key passes (2.6), most accurate crosses (67 per cent), most challenges (15), most challenges won (9) and joint-most tackles (4.2)
RCB: William Saliba
Defensively sound, strong in duels, excellent passer – William Saliba has become one of the most dominant defenders in the Premier League in the first five games of the season and is sure to be a serious asset for Arsenal for many years to come.
LCB: Lisandro Martinez
Despite heavy criticism of his height, Lisandro Martinez has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
The Argentine is forming a great partnership with Raphael Varane. Martinez has made the second most defensive actions per 90 (14.69) of any centre-back in the PL this term. He is also managing 8.28 interceptions per 90, which is the second-most in the PL when looking at centre-backs who have played more than one game this campaign.
LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko
Though Zinchenko is currently out injured, his short stint in Arsenal’s backline has been a joy to watch.
The Ukraine international is on a different level from most when it comes to picking a pass and creating chances. He has a 90.23 per cent passing accuracy, which is one of the best in the league for left-backs. He also has a 76.6 per cent passing accuracy for forward passes, which is only 0.12 less than Joao Cancelo.
CM: Casemiro
Casemiro is yet to start a game for Manchester United, but there is no denying that the Brazilian, when fit, is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.
CM: Granit Xhaka
To partner Casemiro, Granit Xhaka is likely the best option. Granted, Christian Eriksen is a more creative option. But the Dane has struggled to maintain top-level throughout 90 minutes this season, which is to be expected given what happened to him last year.
RW: Jadon Sancho
Six months ago, this position would have obviously belonged to Bukayo Saka. However, the Arsenal man has had a quiet start to 2022/23, whilst Jadon Sancho is finally showing his best form for United.
CAM: Martin Odegaard
When Martin Odegaard was handed the captain’s armband at 23, there were many doubters.
However, the Norwegian is proving himself a leader on and off the pitch. He has also managed to net three in five outings this term.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli
Like Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli is currently playing some of his best-ever footballer for Arsenal.
The Brazilian has scored three in five and has been a constant threat down the Gunners’ left.
ST: Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus has looked a player reborn since his move to Arsenal and Manchester United have no real viable competition for the Brazilian at present.
