Southampton FC boss Ralph Hasenhüttl is reportedly on his last legs on the St. Mary’s touchline after the south coast club once again finds itself facing a potential fight for survival in the Premier League under the Austrian manager.
According to The Telegraph’s Sam Wallace, the 55-year-old Graz native no longer enjoys unwavering support from the powers that be at the club in the wake of changes above his head in the hierarchical structure at Saints.

Saints are currently on a three-match losing run in the league while managing just two wins in their last six Premier League fixtures (2-0-4) with the club now sitting just one point clear of the bottom three after eight rounds of action.
The club has made a clear investment and shown intent in its desire to plan for the long-haul after the way they comported themselves in the previous two summer transfer windows bore fruit in multiple deals for young talent to build a new core in the senior setup, while also poaching a cadre of gifted players from the academy pipelines of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Additionally, Saints also brought in Rasmus Ankersen – who previously worked at Brentford – to head up the overall project as the club’s chief executive at Sport Republic, while SR’s chair Henrik Kraft comprises the other half of the leadership duopoly that no longer has the attachment or investment in Hasenhüttl that the manager previously enjoyed under the last regime.
With Ankersen firing three of Hasenhüttl’s staff at the end of last season and replacing them with men of his own choosing, the writing was certainly already forming on the wall that the microscope has begun to zoom in once again on the former FC Ingolstadt 04 and RB Leipzig headmaster.
