Chelsea boss Graham Potter is under no pressure for the remainder of the season, despite a third consecutive draw leaving the club ninth in the Premier League, it has been reported.
Potter took over from Thomas Tuchel in September after the German was sacked, and has overseen one of the biggest squad overhauls in history in such a short space of time, with seven new signings arriving in January, taking the total to 14 new faces since Todd Boehly took ownership of the club, with a further two deals already confirmed for the summer.
Six of those started against West Ham at the weekend, with Joao Felix opening his account for the club, but they could not prevent Chelsea from being held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham, though plenty will point to a penalty decision late on as costing Chelsea two valuable points.

And it means that Potter has taken just 21 points from 16 games since taking charge, with five wins and five losses, making him comfortably Chelsea’s worst performing manager in recent memory with his 1.31 points per game below previous worst Frank Lampard’s 1.7.
As per the Athletic, however, results this season are not going to be massively indicative of Potter’s future at Stamford Bridge.
“The feeling within the Chelsea hierarchy is that the former Brighton coach should be judged in years not months and they are confident they have one of the best managers in the game”, they report.
