Harry Kane had a tricky start to Euro 2020 as he failed to score in the group stage and subsequently, he found himself coming under plenty of pressure from England fans and the media.
However, in the Round of 16, he netted a massive goal to help the Three Lions see off Germany.
Raheem Sterling had already put England 1-0 up before Kane doubled their lead, booking their place in the quarter-finals in the process in a tournament which Southgate’s side lost in the final on penalties.

Kane left former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny with no chance as he hit a long-range, dipping shot past him. Picking the ball up 30 yards from goal with the score at 0-0, England’s captain took a quick glance up before taking aim and burying the ball in the corner.
Poland ended up securing a point from the match as Sebastian Szymański equalised in stoppage-time, but Kane’s goal still dominated the aftermath.
