Arsenal head into the game sat two points above Manchester City atop of the Premier League with a game in hand.
However, with City taking on Bournemouth this weekend, it is safe to assume that anything but an Arsenal win over the Foxes would allow the Sky Blues to temporarily go top of the division.
Now, ahead of the tie, Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Thomas Partey, who has missed the Gunners’ last two outings due to injury.
Speaking in his pre-Leicester press conference on Friday morning, Arteta provided an update on the fitness of both Partey and Jesus. The Gunners manager said: “Not a lot of changes [regarding injuries in the squad].
“The question mark on Thomas [Partey], he hasn’t trained much but looks like he could be available. Let’s see how he goes today, we’ve missed him in the past few games and hopefully he’ll be back.”
Arteta then offered yet another update on Gabriel Jesus’ recovery: “He’s progressing well,” Arteta said.
