Fans from across the globe have flooded to social media on Saturday evening, to poke fun at new Bayern Munich signing Harry Kane.

The name of frontman Kane has of course found itself front and centre in the headlines across Europe over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after the England international’s long-touted move to Germany with Bayern Munich was at long last made official.

After the powers that be in Bavaria agreed to fork over a sum with the potential to rise to €120 million to their counterparts in north London, Kane put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Bundesliga champions.

And Thomas Tuchel and co, evidently, were keen to get the latest addition to their attacking ranks up and running in his new club colours as quickly as possible.

Kane, in turn, was named on the bench this evening, as Bayern welcomed RB Leipzig to the Allianz Arena for the DFL Super Cup.

This came as the evening’s hosts were subjected to a Dani Olmo-inspired drubbing, by three goals to nil.

Kane, for his part, was introduced to the fray midway through the 2nd-half, but, within minutes, saw his side concede a penalty en route to Leipzig’s 3rd of the night.

On the back of the full-time whistle bringing proceedings to a close in Bavaria, and Bayern’s new hitman seeing his latest opportunity to clinch a first-ever trophy pass him by, it should, in turn, come as little surprise to hear of Kane being widely targeted online.

Amid the insinuation that his Spurs past proved decisive in another high-profile defeat, fans have taken full advantage of the opportunity to have some lighthearted fun at Kane’s expense:
