RB Leipzig play host to Manchester City in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie, looking to spark an upset and knock one of the tournament favourites out of the competition at the knockout stage.
The German side are currently vying for the Bundesliga title, and sit four points off top spot. Having lost just one of their last five games, they come into the tie in high spirits, and will take confidence from the fact that they have already beaten Manchester City in the Champions League, winning and losing one of the two fixtures played out in last season’s group stages between the two sides.
However, they will have to finally work out how to tame Erling Haaland, with the Norweigian having scored six times in five games against them during his Borussia Dortmund days, and having already netted five times in the Champions League so far.

Chelsea-bound star Christopher Nkunku could be set to be involved on Wednesday night, though likely not from the start. The Frenchman, who had to withdraw from the World Cup squad after picking up an injury in training, made his first appearance since the break over the weekend, playing the final 20 minutes and grabbing an assist as Leipzig saw off Wolfsburg 3-0.
There is no such uncertainty elsewhere, however, with veteran goalkeeper Peter Gulasci and star attacker Dani Olmo both sidelined for the first leg, and also likely to miss the second through injury.
