Wayne Rooney has made some interesting comments relating to Manchester United this past weekend.

First up, Rooney expressed his desire to become Manchester United manager.

The former Everton and United star admitted he got into management to become Manchester United manager and, whilst he is not ready yet, he has a plan to make sure one day he will take the job: “The whole reason in me going into management is Manchester United. I got offered the job interview for the Everton job.

“I want to be Manchester United manager. I know I am not ready now but I have to plan everything I do to make sure one day it will happen.”

Rooney is currently in charge of Derby County who are looking set to be relegated from the Championship, though this is largely due to their points deduction.

However, Rooney has urged Rashford to stay at the club and break his record for most United goals: “What I hope is that Marcus Rashford f***ing gets his head out of his a*** and goes and breaks that record. He is a Manchester lad.”

Rooney would score 253 goals for the Manchester United powerhouse, with Rashford currently on 93.
