Liverpool winger Luiz Diaz has stated he is “really happy here” after speculation he may leave Liverpool for Barcelona.
With many of the Liverpool squad’s futures uncertain, with manager Jurgen Klopp leaving at the end of the season, the 27-year-old has caught the attention of Barcelona.
Named Liverpool’s best player in April, the Colombian international has been said to be a big Barcelona fan.
With the La Liga side currently looking for new players to boost the teams attacking threat, the Liverpool player is seen as the one who could do just that.

Diaz Interview: “I believe the club has great years ahead”
In a recent interview, it has become apparent that Diaz has no intentions or interest in leaving Anfield to join up with Xavi’s Barcelona.
Expressing his happiness at Liverpool and how he feels about his future in Merseyside, Diaz said:
“Being at Liverpool has been a great learning experience.
I’ve grown as a professional, as a person, as a teammate, and as a person.
I’m really happy here. I believe the club has great years ahead”.
Was the £49million worth it?
In January 2022, Liverpool paid £49million for a then 25-year-old Diaz to sign from Porto.
Since joining the club, the winger has become an integral part of the starting lineup across the league and cup competitions.
He has had a successful season with Liverpool, one that has seen him score 13 goals in 49 games, with five assists.
Diaz has gone onto play a major role in the three major trophies that his club have won in recent times.
However, with the winger said to still be on the same wages as when he joined the club back in 2022, it may be time for the owners to put their hands in their pockets if they wish to retain the Colombian star.
