Tottenham midfielder James Maddison says Ange Postecoglou is taking the club in the right direction following his first season in North London.
Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League under the Australian, just missing out on a place in the Champions League but returning to Europe after a season away from it.
The club earned six more points than the 2022-23 campaign and climbed three places, despite losing talisman and record goalscorer Harry Kane last summer.
Maddison was one of the players drafted in to fill the gap left by the England captain and he has been impressive since linking up with the club in the capital.
He tallied 13 goal contributions in 28 league matches and looked back to his best at the end of the term after missing a large part of the season through injury.
The 27-year-old has called for patience as Postecoglou continues to build a winning team and hopes it will be a busy transfer window for the club.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “Definitely progress, first season with the new manager.
“Spurs fans especially need to be patient, it’s a work in progress.
“I am experienced now, I have played under a lot of managers, I have seen a lot of things and Ange Postecoglou is taking the club in the right direction, believe me.
“Exciting future ahead for Tottenham. He’s very demanding and has high standards, he’s won everywhere he’s been so when you have a man like that in charge, it’s refreshing as players because you can trust him and go along with him and hopefully success will be just around the corner.
“The message after [the friendly in Australia] was that we have had a transitional year with a lot of positives on the pitch and we need to kick on now and have a good summer, a good transfer window and be even more challenging next year.”
Spurs will be managing their domestic campaign with the Europa League in 2024-25.
They have not won a major piece of silverware since 2008 but there will be hope that the draught will end after a 16-year wait.
