Tottenham are in talks with RB Leipzig to take Timo Werner on loan for another season.
The North London club drafted the German international in on a short-term deal in January, with the option to buy him permanently in the summer.
But according to reports, the club do not want to fork out the £15million asking price for the 28-year-old and are instead pushing for another loan.
This time Werner would spend the whole campaign at Tottenham, where he hit the ground running in the second half of 2023-24.
Across 13 Premier League appearances, the 57-cap international scored twice and tallied three assists.
He was integral in Ange Postecoglou’s high-intensity style of play and was favoured by the Australian in the starting line-up due to his pace and willingness to go past his marker.

The report from Fabrizio Romano suggests that the conditions for the new loan deal would be the same as before and Alasdair Gold added some extra details, explaining that Postecoglou is a big fan of the winger.
His versatility means he can play anywhere in the front three and Spurs will need to expand their squad ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
After a year away, they are returning to Europe in UEFA’s second-tier competition.
They will be hoping to challenge on all fronts with Postecoglou having had a year to settle in but they will need to make some exceptional additions if they are to challenge Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League.
