Manchester United have taken a step closer towards the signing of Leny Yoro after agreeing a fee with Lille for the 18-year-old defender.
The French teen must now decide whether to join the Red Devils over Real Madrid, who are believed to be his preferred choice.
A report in The Guardian indicates United have agreed a £42m fee with the Ligue 1 side with a further £10m in add-ons, with club representatives now negotiating personal terms.
Real are said to value Yoro less than that and are considering waiting until his contract expires next summer, when he will be a free agent.
Given the eye-watering figure they have agreed on, Lille’s preferred choice is for their academy graduate to head to Old Trafford this summer.

He is the third centre-back United are pursuing, with Bayern Munich’s Mattjis de Ligt and Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite also on their shortlist.
Deals for at least two could be finalised after the Red Devils raised spending funds through a number of player sales during the off-season.
Academy graduate Willy Kambwala left for Villarreal, while Donny van de Beek and Alvaro Fernandez have made moves Girona and Benfica.
Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee became United’s first signing of the summer on Sunday, joining for £36.5m from Bologna on a five-year deal.
