Raphael Varane has joined newly-promoted Serie A side Como on a free transfer.
The Frenchman ended his time at Manchester United this summer after running down his contract and will link up with head coach Cesc Fabregas in Italy.
He has signed a two-year deal with Como, keeping him at the club until 2026.
Varane, 31, has won a number of trophies during his time at the top level, including the World Cup, three LaLiga titles and four Champions Leagues.
Having played for Real Madrid for the best years of his career, he moved to Old Trafford where he helped the Red Devils win the FA Cup last May.

He has earned 93 caps fore his country and will be looking to make an impact at Como.
Speaking for the first time as their new player, he said: “I will meet Cesc again, but this time not as an opponent.
“I am very happy, I really like his playing philosophy and his passion for football.”
Fabregas was made head coach after helping the club gain promotion to Serie A for the first time in 21 years.
He will have to face the challenge of keeping them in the Italian top flight but will be boosted by the presence of Varane.
