Serie A winners
Inter Milan (3/5)
Inter Milan ran away with the title in 2023-24, taking top spot comfortably, with AC Milan trailing by 19 points.
But as their rivals around them strengthen, it may not be as easy this time around.
Lautaro Martinez will have to be on top form again for the champions while the defence will do well to replicate the mere 22 goals they conceded last term.
Juventus (7/2)
The Old Lady are back on an upwards trajectory after finishing third last season, 23 points off the pace.
Head coach Thiago Motta will expect nothing but success in Turin and will be keen to keep his run of silverware going having won the Coppa Italia last season.
The additions of both Douglas Luiz and Kephren Thuram will only bolster their chances of closing the gap to Inter Milan, but there is still a mammoth gap to make up going off last season’s results.
AC Milan (7/1)
AC Milan are not being tipped to keep up with their San Siro rivals in 2024-25 but they may be a surprise contender for the Serie A title.
At 7/1, they are a good outside bet, especially since bringing in Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The Spain captain guided the team to Euro 2024 glory and alongside Rafael Leao, the Rossoneri certainly have an exciting attack.
Napoli (8/1)
Antonio Conte is already facing problems at Napoli but he knows how to win.
The Italian is determined to get more signings through the door before the campaign begins, with Romelu Lukaku one name being heavily linked.
Conte is known to have an instant impact at whichever club he leads so do not be surprised to see Napoli shoot up the table having finished 10th last term.
Race for the Champions League
The four above-mentioned teams will all be in with a shout of qualifying for the Champions League but there are a coupe of other contenders for a top-four spot.
Five teams will compete in Europe’s elite competition this season thanks to Italy’s superior coefficient points so teams will be more motivated than ever to get as high up as they possibly can.
Atalanta (13/8)
Atalanta finished fourth last season, just pipping Bologna, who enjoyed an impressive campaign.
Charles De Ketelaere has joined on a permanent basis this summer, as has former Everton defender Ben Godfrey.
They are piecing together an impressive squad certainly capable of challenging the top four.
Roma (9/4)
The team from the capital came sixth in 2023-24, but were only seven points off the Champions League.
Lengthy injuries to Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori hindered their performance to an extent but they will be back with a vengeance now.
Roma have spent nearly €80million on incoming so far during the transfer window in the hope that they can close the gap to their rivals.

Relegation contenders
35 points got you relegated from Serie A last season so teams are going to have to beat that target if they want to remain in Italy’s top flight.
With Como and Cesc Fabregas making a statement of intent by bringing Raphael Varane into the club, it may be some mainstays who are at a higher risk of facing the drop.
Venezia (8/13)
Venezia are one of the teams to have been promoted from Serie B last summer so naturally they are being tipped to go back down.
They came third, behind Como and Parma in the second division.
However, at 8/13, there seems to be an element of doubt with the bookies about who will face the misery come May.
Empoli (4/5)
Empoli survived in Serie A by the skin of their teeth last term.
They tallied 36 points, keeping them safe by the smallest of margins.
But having lost 20 games in 2023-24 – the third highest – they have some work to do if they are to complete the great escape again this year.
Cagliari (6/5)
Cagliari also had 36 points last season, showcasing how tight it can be at the bottom of Serie A.
Only the three relegated teams conceded more than their 68 goals across the entire campaign.
They have bought a new centre back in Sebastiano Luperto to try and sure things up, but it may take more than just one addition to do that.

Verona (11/10)
Had Verona not beaten Salernitana in the penultimate matchday of 2023-24, they could have been playing in Serie B.
Three points from safety is not much in the grand scheme of things but it was enough to ensure another year of top-flight football.
Parma (2/1)
Parma won the second division last season, but according to the bookies are more likely to go down than second-placed Como.
The Serie B champions are back in the elite division for the first time since 2021 and will be looking to stay there for years to come.
But having made just two signings this summer, it may be easier said than done.
Prediction
Inter Milan are the heavy favourites to win back-to-back titles and rightfully so.
However, I think Juventus will be much strong in the 2024-25 campaign as they look much more settled under Motta.
I expect Conte to return Napoli to the Champions League with Roma not far behind, but the battle at the bottom is much harder to call.
Relegation could swallow any of the teams mentioned above but the odds for each side are good enough to give you good value on any bet.
