Liverpool welcome Brentford to Merseyside this afternoon in Arne Slot’s first Premier League game at Anfield.
The Reds opened their campaign last weekend with a 2-0 win at newly promoted Ipswich Town with goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.
Brentford also registered three points on the first weekend of the new season after seeing off Crystal Palace in a London derby.
Bryan Mbeumo gave the Bees the lead only for an Ethan Pinnock own goal to cancel out their advantage. Yoane Wissa netted the winner with 14 minutes to go.

Slot makes just one change to the side that won at Portman Road with Ibrahima Konate coming in for Jarell Quansah at the heart of the defence.
Quansah was dragged off at half-time last weekend with Slot unimpressed with his performance. The England Under-21 international had redeemed himself with his reaction to the setback, although Slot did say on Friday the centre-half had been struggling with an injury and that’s what appears to have cost him as Quansah was not named among the substitutes.
Joe Gomez, who has been linked with a move away, is on the bench.
