Dani Olmo scored a late winner on his debut as Barcelona came from behind to win 2-1 at Rayo Vallecano.

The Spain star, making his first appearance since completing a move to the Camp Nou from RB Leipzig, stepped up with the winner in the 81st minute.

Barca had found themselves a goal down early on through Unai Lopez, who beat Marc-Andre Ter Stegen with a first-time strike inside the box.

They had to wait until the hour mark to draw themselves level as Pedri found the corner with a smart finish after being set up by Raphinha following a lovely move down the right.

Hansi Flick’s side looked set to drop their first points of the season as the game headed towards a draw before Olmo got his just reward for an exciting debut in the colours of the Blaugrana.

The midfielder was found by fellow Euro 2024 winner Lamine Yamal before finding the bottom corner to spark jubliant scenes with Olmo and the travelling fans.

The victory maintains Barcelona’s 100% record so far in LaLiga, taking them to nine points and piling more pressure on Real Madrid who have four points from two games so far.
