Newcastle host Tottenham at St James’ Park today looking to extend their impressive recent record over the Londoners on Tyneside.

The Magpies have scored 10 goals in their last two home league games against Spurs and will be hoping to register another win after taking four points from their opening two fixtures.

The visitors have also drawn one and won one of their first two games – following up a draw at Leicester with a resounding win over Everton.

Sandro Tonali, who made his first appearance following his 10-month ban for betting irregularities in the EFL Cup clash at Nottingham Forest in midweek, is on the bench while Joe Willock misses out with a thigh injury.

Fabian Schar serves the final game of a three-match suspension.
