Former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has joined French fourth-tier side Bordeaux from Amiens.
Carroll, 35, has dropped down two divisions despite featuring in all four of Amiens’ games this season.
Last season he scored four goals in 23 appearances since joining in September 2023 as a free agent from Championship side Reading.
In a statement, Bordeaux said: “His size, his goal-scoring talent and his fighting spirit will certainly help the Navy and White this season.
“We can’t wait to see him on the pitch!”

Bordeaux, who are six-time Ligue 1 champions, surrendered their status as a professional club in July after being relegated out of Ligue 2 down to Championnat National 2 due to bankruptcy.
Carroll made 248 Premier League appearances with Newcastle, Liverpool and West Ham, scoring 54 goals.
He also has nine England caps to his name, finding the net on two occasions.
