Ivan Toney got off the mark for new club Al-Ahli with two goals in a 4-2 win over Damac.
Toney, who sealed a £40million to the Saudi Pro League from Brentford in the summer, had a quiet debut last week but found his shooting boots on Friday night.
His clinical brace from close range earned Al-Ahli their second league win of the season which leaves them fifth in the table.
Having set up Gabri Veiga’s early opener, the Spaniard returned the favour by finding Toney inside the box before the 28-year-old slammed the ball in with his left foot.
His second in stoppage time was even more straightforward, finding himself in the right place at the right time to tap into an empty net for the sort of poacher’s goal he became notorious for with the Bees.
Former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino was also on target in stoppage time for the Saudi side.
Having been left out of the latest England squad by Lee Carsley, Toney will be hoping to continue his scoring form to keep himself in international reckoning.
