Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will miss Wednesday’s Champions League game at Lille with a hip injury.
The Belgian stopper has suffered an abductor injury in his left leg following their 1-1 draw with rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday night.
A club statement said: “After tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an abductor injury in his left leg. His progress will be monitored.”
Ukraine international Andriy Lunin is set to deputise in goal for Wednesday’s visit to France, with Real hosting Villarreal in LaLiga on Saturday before the international break.

Courtois, 32, missed most of last season with injury but had started all 10 of Madrid’s game this term.
Carlo Ancelotti will be able to call on striker Kylian Mbappe for their Champions League clash after the France captain sat out of the derby.
Sunday’s draw was marred by crowd trouble at the Civitas Metropolitano, with the game stopped for 20 minutes with reports of supporters throwing objects from the stands.
Los Blancos were denied a win away at their rivals by Angel Correa’s 95th-minute equaliser after Eder Militao opened the scoring in the 64th minute.
Atleti midfielder Marcos Llorente was given a red card later in stoppage time during an eventful derby clash in the Spanish capital.
