Erik ten Hag

It’s a big night for Erik ten Hag, who takes his Manchester United side to FC Porto in the Europa League.

The pressure has risen on the United boss in recent days following a dismal performance against Tottenham at the weekend which saw his side lose 3-0 at Old Trafford.

That result followed an underwhelming 1-1 draw at home to FC Twente in their Europa League opener.

FC Porto team news

Porto boss Vitor Bruno makes just one change to the team that thrashed Arouca 4-0 at the weekend with Stephen Eustaquio coming in for Vasco Sousa in midfield.

Porto: Costa; Mario, Pedro, Perez, Moura; Varela, Eustaquio, Gonzalez; Pepe, Omorodion, Galeno.

Subs: Ramos, Fernandes, Otavio, Djalo, Grujic, Vieira, Franco, Mora, Sousa, Jaime, Borges, Gul, Namaso.

Manchester United team news

Ten Hag has made four changes to the side that capitulated on Sunday.

Kobbie Mainoo has not fully recovered from the hamstring injury that saw him replaced at half-time and misses out while Manuel Ugarte, Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee are dropped to the bench.

Casemiro and Christian Eriksen form the defensive midfield shield with Amad Diallo recalled on the right wing and Rasmus Hojlund named as the sole striker.

Manchester Utd: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, Eriksen; Amad, Fernandes, Rashford; Højlund.

Subs: Bayindir, Heaton, Lindelof, Maguire, Evans, Collyer, Gore, Ugarte, Antony, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
