Harry Kane sat out England training this morning and remains a doubt for the Nations League clash with Greece on Thursday.

Kane was taken off during Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga draw with Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend but a statement from his club yesterday indicated there was no “structural damage” and he was fit enough to remain with the Three Lions.

However, he was the only member of England’s remaining 22 players not to train this morning although he did work on an individual programme.

Interim coach Lee Carsley is already without defender Ezri Konsa and midfielders Kobbie Mainoo and Morgan Gibbs-White with the trio pulling out of the squad yesterday. No replacements were called up.

England host Greece at Wembley before heading to Helsinki to take on Finland on Sunday.

Carsley is looking for his third win in charge after succeeding Gareth Southgate. He started his tenure with a win in the Republic of Ireland before a routine 2-0 victory over Finland, a game in which Kane marked his 100th cap with both goals.
