Manchester United have agreed a deal with Sporting CP that will see Rubin Amorim become the new head coach at Old Trafford.
Widespread reports this morning suggest the two clubs have brokered an agreement that means Amorim will remain in charge of Sporting for their next three games and then move to United during the international break.
Sporting were eager to keep Amorim for the duration of his 30-day notice period but United have accepted a settlement that will see them add an extra €1million to the €10m release clause in his contract for him to make the switch earlier.

Amorim was also keen to ensure he did not depart the Lisbon club on bad terms after four and a half years in charge.
The 39-year-old will oversee the Primeira Liga games with Estrela and Braga, as well as the Champions League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday.
His first game in charge of United will be at Ipswich Town on November 24.
United in Ruud health
It is likely the United board will have been more accepting of Sporting’s terms given the success enjoyed by interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy last night.
The Dutchman, who previously worked as Erik ten Hag’s assistant prior to his dismissal on Monday, stepped up and delivered an emphatic win as United thrashed Leicester City 5-2 in the EFL Cup last night.
Van Nistelrooy, who said he would be willing to work in any capacity under Amorim, will stay in interim charge for the games against Chelsea, PAOK in the Europa League, and Leicester again.
