Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is urging his squad to adapt to new manager Ruben Amorim’s tactics.
Amorim, currently Sporting’s manager, was appointed by United last week and will officially join the club on November 11.
Interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has maintained the 4-2-3-1 setup used by Erik ten Hag, but Amorim is known for his 3-4-3 approach.
His style was on full display with Sporting’s impressive 4-1 Champions League win over Manchester City this Tuesday.
Reflecting on Amorim’s recent success, Onana said: “I did watch the game yesterday, it was a great victory for them.
“It’s a different system, but my teammates are all pragmatic.

“I think everyone here is capable of playing in each system, so I don’t think this will be an issue for us. We have big players, they will step up.”
Manchester United will face PAOK on Thursday in search of their first Europa League victory of the season.
Defender Leny Yoro, a £52 million summer signing from Lille, participated in full training for the first time since fracturing his foot in August.
Van Nistelrooy confirmed Yoro’s progress, saying: “He’s been managed very well after his injury in pre-season… It’s a big moment for him as it’s the first time that he’s been back in full training.”
Additionally, midfielders Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, and Antony have returned to training following recent absences, bolstering the team’s options as they prepare for upcoming matches.
