Match Preview

Four-time defending champions Manchester City head to Brighton on the back of their worst run of form in six years.

Pep Guardiola’s side have lost their last three games – the last time that happened was in 2018 – after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Sporting CP in the Champions League in midweek.

That setback in Lisbon followed on from an EFL Cup exit at Tottenham and a 2-1 Premier League loss at Bournemouth.

Guardiola will hope to have some of his injured players back tomorrow when they head to the south coast once again.

He will be encouraged by the fact Brighton are not in the best form themselves ahead of the tea-time kick-off.

They squandered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with rock-bottom Wolves two weeks ago before back-to-back defeats to Liverpool in league and cup.
