Newcastle will move into the top six of the Premier League if the Magpies secure a fourth consecutive win in all competitions at home to West Ham in the top flight on Monday.
The Magpies beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 away in their last outing and have won their last two home matches, knocking Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup and defeating Arsenal 1-0 in the league.
West Ham spurned a 3-1 lead after 76 minutes at St James’ Park last season, with Alexander Isak’s penalty launching a comeback sealed by two Harvey Barnes goals during the final eight minutes of regular time.

Newcastle vs West Ham latest
West Ham have been on a five-game winless away run since beating Crystal Palace 2-0 on their first match on their travels of the season on August 24.
Julen Lopetegui’s side followed up a 4-1 loss at Tottenham on October 19 with 3-0 loss at Nottingham Forest on November 2.
The Hammers will remain 14th unless they win by at least five goals but victory would move them six points clear of the relegation zone.
A draw would guarantee Newcastle at least eighth place above Aston Villa, while three points would send them above the Villans, Forest and Spurs.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion started the evening five points above them, with second-placed Manchester City a point further ahead.
