Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique accepted blame for his team’s 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.
It was a frustrating night that saw PSG reduced to 10 men after Ousmane Dembele’s red card in the 58th minute, although the second yellow issued to the Frenchman was questionable.
The defeat in Munich marks PSG’s third loss in their last four games in Europe’s top competition, further complicating their campaign as they look to finally end their time without the ultimate prize.
When asked by a journalist who was at fault for the loss, Enrique placed the responsibility squarely on his shoulders.
He said: “Responsibility is always global in the good times and the bad times. It is not about looking for culprits or heroes.
“When defeats come, there is a great desire to attack and I repeat: if there is anyone to blame, it is me.

“You’ve found him! Relax! I accept all criticism, all for me, I have no problem.”
PSG’s remaining Champions League games are RB Salzburg, Manchester City and Stuttgart.
They currently sit 26th out of 36 teams, and outside even then play-off places.
With just four points from five games, there is real pressure for the French champions to step up in the final three matchdays.
Enrique added: “It’s very frustrating for us to be in this situation.
“We lost a Champions League game at home and it will be difficult to get those points back.
“There are still three games left and we have to hope to qualify.”
