Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has said he is “so happy” after being named in Liverpool’s 19-man squad for their Champions League match at Girona on Tuesday (5.45 GMT).
Brazil international Alisson has not featured since suffering a hamstring injury in his club’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on October 5.
The 32-year-old pictured himself flying to Spain with his team-mates on Monday and could return to the starting line-up after playing throughout the first two games of their European campaign.

Alisson stats
Alisson was new manager Arne Slot’s first-choice goalkeeper but missed out for the first time in 2024/25 with a thigh injury as the Reds won 3-0 at home to Bournemouth on September 21.
When he went off in the 79th minute after receiving treatment at Selhurst Park, Liverpool were on their way to finishing the seventh match week of the season a point above Manchester City and Arsenal.
With understudy Caoimhin Kelleher in goal, they have extended their advantage to four points over second-placed Chelsea with a game in hand.
A previous hamstring injury kept Alisson out of 15 club and international matches between February and April, matching the longest absence of his career, which was the result of a calf problem in 2019/20.
The two-time Premier League Golden Glove winner has won every major trophy in England since arriving from Roma for £66.8 million in July 2018.

Girona vs Liverpool
Defenders Konstantinos Tsimikas, Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate, winger Federico Chiesa and forward Diogo Jota will not be involved in the league phase match because of injuries.
Alexis Mac Allister will serve a one-match suspension, but the rest of the squad trained before Liverpool set off for Spain.
Victory against the ninth-placed team in La Liga could guarantee Liverpool a place in the knockout stage with two games to spare.
While Liverpool top the Champions League standings after winning all five of their matches, competition debutants Girona have one win and four defeats, leaving them three points adrift of the positions required to enter the play-offs for the next stage.
