League Two strugglers Morecambe will welcome a break from the relegation scrap to fight one of Europe’s titans at Stamford Bridge.

For the Blues, it is the perfect opportunity to rest more players and utilise their stacked squad for another cup competition.

The visitors may go full strength in a bid to upset the London club, but Chelsea will likely make wholesale changes to their team.

As expected, Enzo Maresca has rotated.

Filip Jorgensen is in goal, behind a backline of Reece James, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo and Renato Veiga.

Romeo Lavia holds the fort in midfield, with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix ahead of him.

Pedro Neto and Tyrique George play on the wings.

And Marc Guiu leads the line.

Morecambe line-up

Head coach Derek Adams has gone with the following team.

Harry Burgoyne is in goal, with a defence of David Tutonda, Jamie Stott, Rhys Williams and Luke Hendrie.

Callum Jones and Tom White form a pivot in midfield.

Gwion Edwards, Yann Songo’o and Ben Tollit will play as an attacking three.
