Nuno Espirito Santo has laughed off speculation linking Nottingham Forest with Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.
Forest have been linked with the Brazilian striker as they look to strengthen their forward line in their surprise push for a European place this season.
But asked about rumours linking the Tricky Trees with the Brazilian, who has scored 10 league goals for struggling Wolves this term, Nuno quashed those claims.
“I don’t know anything about that,” the Forest boss said ahead of the Reds’ trip to Bournemouth. “How can I comment about that? I’m so sorry to disappoint you.”
Forest have also been linked with Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, who has 11 goals to his name in the Premier League this term.
Pressed more on Forest’s January transfer plans, Nuno added: “We are working. The club is working and more than anything it is working on the aspect of keeping our players here.
“That’s because this is the squad that we have and these are the players that are going to solve all our problems. It is not easy to operate in this market and because we only consider options that will improve us, it is not easy.
“It’s a tricky market for all teams. So that’s why I say we will work the other way around and let’s keep our players here.”

Forest’s European push
Forest are currently in the heady heights of third in the Premier League, six points off leaders Liverpool, after winning seven of their last eight league games.
On their superb season so far, the Portuguese manager added: “We are happy and satisfied with the performance of the players because they are very committed, they work very hard and we are competing very well. The big challenge ahead of us is to sustain this level of performance.
“Nobody expected us or predicted this situation but it is due to the bond – they help each other not only in training sessions but during the matches.
“The way we operate as a team. It is not a surprise because we demand but expectations are clearly there for everyone to see.”

A sign of the good feeling at the City Ground currently is centre-back Murrilo signing a new contract after his impressive campaign alongside Nikola Milenkovic so far.
On the Brazilian defender, Nuno said: “We are delighted that he is going to be here long-term. He is a player with immense talent and can improve immensely due to his age.
“He joined us last season and improvement is there. As long as he keeps himself healthy and available, he is going to be great for us.”
Star striker Chris Wood, who has 14 league goals this season, is also expected to sign a new deal in the new future.
On the talks that are taking place with the New Zealand striker, Nuno said: “I think things are going well but I cannot give much further detail on that.”
Forest injury news
The Forest manager says winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is a doubt for their trip to the South Coast this weekend.
Nuno said: “He felt his groin, it was very tight and he was in a lot of pain. He has been out for a couple of days and we will have to assess and see whether he is available or not.”
