Carlo Ancelotti believes that Vinicius Junior is fully committed to Real Madrid amid links of a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Italian head coach insists the Brazilian forward is “very happy” at the club and focused on creating a lasting legacy.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Real Valladolid, Ancelotti said: “As far as I’m aware, and I have direct information from the player, he’s very happy here and he wants to make history at Real Madrid.

“He’s like everyone who works here – we’re happy and want to make history.

“I don’t know if that [Saudi] offer will come, but I see a happy player here. I’m trying to stay calm in press conferences, so no, I don’t get annoyed by these questions.”

Representatives of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund reportedly reached out to Vinicius’ camp last month, reiterating their desire to bring him to the league after initial contact last summer.

Vinicius, who recently scored twice in Real Madrid’s 5-1 Champions League victory over RB Salzburg, echoed this sentiment earlier in the week, saying he is focused on “continuing to develop and helping the biggest club in the world.”

Despite a stellar season with 17 goals across all competitions, speculation around Vinicius’ importance has emerged following Kylian Mbappe’s arrival.

However, Ancelotti was quick to remind critics of Vinicius’ vital contributions.

“People forget that with Vinícius we won the Champions League in Paris [2022] and London [2024]. He’s unquestionable as a player,” the coach said.

Vinicius is currently serving a two-game LaLiga suspension after his red card against Valencia and is also suspended for Madrid’s Champions League match against Brest.
