Manchester United star Amad Diallo could miss the rest of the Premier League season after confirming a significant injury ahead of the trip to Tottenham on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international shared the unfortunate news via Instagram on Saturday, confirming his injury setback.

“Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season,” Diallo wrote in his post.

“Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for.”

While the club is still evaluating the severity of the issue, early indications suggest Diallo will be unavailable for several weeks, with the possibility of missing the remainder of the season.

Despite United’s struggles this season, Diallo has been one of their standout performers, having found the net six times in his last 14 appearances.

Adding to United’s injury woes, 19-year-old England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has also suffered a setback and will be sidelined for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, United manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged the challenges posed by the recent injuries. “It was a good week until two days ago when we had some problems,” he said.

Ahead of their fixture against Spurs, United currently sit 14th in the Premier League standings, with Tottenham trailing just two points behind them.

Uruguay international Manuel Ugarte is also believed to be a doubt for the trip to London.
