Match preview
It’s the biggest Bundesliga game of the season this weekend when Bayern Munich open their doors at the Allianz Arena to Union Berlin with the two clubs both on 43 points and seperated by just goals difference before the tie.
Union have had their best season in their history this year. The club come into this one having beaten Ajax 3-1 in the midweek Europa League clash with Robin Knoche, Josip Juranovic and Danilho Doekhi all scoring a goal each.
This now means just a draw against Ajax in the other leg and a draw with Schalke last weekend, as the men from the capital have won every other game to launch them onto the same points with Bayern.
A draw here may not send either side to the top, however, as Borussia Dortmund could defeat Hoffenheim and move clear of both of them. However, the goals difference is greatly in the favour of the champions.
Bayern have a +23 goals difference on BVB and a +29 goals difference over Union. They did, however, lose to Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend after also defeating Paris Saint-Germain in a midweek Champions League clash.
