Freiburg will be eyeing up the Champions League spots this weekend after dropping points last weekend with the club set to head to BORUSSIA-PARK where Borussia Monchengladbach are sat down in 10th after another terrible loss.
Gladbach sit behind the top eight by three points after Mainz smashed them 4-0 at home. It is Mainz who sit in eighth, and another defeat here could end most hopes of Daniel Farke’s men getting into the European spots.
Gladbach did still manage to defeat Bayern Munich two weeks back, and with them also beating Hoffenheim 4-0 at the end of January, they have now only won two of their past seven games since the World Cup break ended.
As for Freiburg, they are treated with the fact that RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund will meet one another on Friday night which could allow for them to creep into the top four with a win of their own.
Vincenzo Grifo scored once more last weekend to make it 12 goals for him this season, as he charges down Niclas Fullkrug in the race for the top scorer award. The 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen does, however, keep them behind the top four by one point.
