Fate is out of Bayern Munich’s hands on the final day of the season in the race for the title as the reigning champions stare in the face of seeing their 11-year stranglehold on the Bundesliga trophy ending this weekend against Koln.
Bayern were beaten 3-1 by RB Leipzig at home last weekend, and as Borussia Dortmund defeated Augsburg at the same time, it now means the club have dropped into second with just one game left to play.

Koln can still get into the top nine this weekend, but they would need to overturn a goals difference tally of five and also hope that Mainz lose their game.
Simply put, all attention is on Bayern and whether or not Dortmund win their game. Bayern have still managed to score 90 goals this season and conceded only 37 – both cannot be bettered by any side in the league.
