Barcelona – 5/2

Barcelona are the current odds on favourites to become European Champions this season. Barca are currently, at the time of writing, 5/2 to win the Champions League with bet365. They have certainly been helped this season by the goals of both Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. The Pole has scored a whopping 38 goals so far this season for Barca, including 25 in La Liga and 9 in the Champions League. His teammate, Raphinha, is having an all-time season and is certainly in contention for the Ballon D’or with 27 goals and 20 assists in all competitions this season at the time of writing!

Barca cruised past Benfica in the previous round, winning 4-1 on aggregate over the Portuguese side. Barca also finished second in the Champions League league phase, winning 6 of their 8 games, drawing one and losing one. This put them on 19 points, just two behind league-toppers Liverpool. However, with Liverpool knocked out by PSG in the last round, Barcelona are now the favourites for Europe’s top prize!

PSG – 11/4

Newly-crowned French champions, PSG, are second favourites for the biggest prize in European club football this season. This comes after the Parisians were dominant in their two legs against Liverpool last time out in the UCL. Liverpool won the first leg in Paris 1-0, but PSG were easily the best team on the night, having the majority of the shots in the game and forcing a MOTM performance from Alisson in the Liverpool goal. The return leg at Anfield was more of the same, with PSG dominant on the ball and causing Arne Slot’s team all sorts of problems. a goal from Ousmane Dembele levelled the score up on aggregate and, ultimately, took the game to penalties. PSG prevailed in the shootout with some heroics from their Italian keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Knocking out the favourites for the competition will have buoyed the Parisians, and with their domestic league title wrapped up with six games to go, all focuses will surely be on European success.

Arsenal – 3/1

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are all but through to the last four of the Champions League. This is because, the time of writing, The Gunners hold a 3-0 aggregate lead over Real Madrid after some heroics from Declan Rice! However, both sides have stuttered recently domestically, and we all know of Real Madrid’s habit of making comebacks at the Bernabeu in Europe. Arsenal are currently 11 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race, but with such a big result over Real Madrid in Europe, surely the focus is on European success this season for the Gunners. One thing is certain, Arsenal won’t give up!

Inter Milan – 11/2

Inter Milan are currently 11/2 to win the Champions League this season with bet365. In their first leg game against Bayern Munich, Inzaghi’s side ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Lautaro Martinez and a late winner from Davide Frattesi. With a lead to take back to the Giuseppe Meazza, and with Bayern’s injury list longer than ever, you have to fancy Inter to advance into the Semis. Inter are currently three points clear in the Serie A title race over second-placed Napoli and are currently drawing 1-1 on aggregate in the Italian Cup Semi-finals against city rivals AC Milan. Inter could still be on for a second treble in their history, becoming not only the first Italian team to do so, but the second as well!

Bayern Munich – 12/1

Bayern Munich are currently 12/1 to become European champions this season, and the reason is their recent 2-1 home defeat to Inter Milan in the first leg of the quarter-finals. With the final of this year’s competition being held in Bayern’s own Allianz Arena, they would love nothing more to avenge their 2012 final loss in their home stadium to Chelsea by winning this year’s competition. However, the chances of this happening are looking slimmer and slimmer as their season goes on. Bayern were knocked out of the German Cup, by Leverkusen earlier in the season and are currently 6 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. However, with the amount of injuries suffered by this Bayern team, the title race is far from over, with Leverkusen hot on their heels.

Real Madrid – 16/1

Current Champions League champions Real Madrid are currently 16/1 to win it again this season. Usually, it is unfamiliar to see Real Madrid with such short odds to win this competition. However, with a 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the first leg of the quarter-finals, it looks unlikely the Spaniards will progress to the semis. However, if there is any team who can overturn a 3-0 deficit, it’s Real Madrid! They have produced miraculous comebacks in Europe before against the likes of Chelsea, Juventus, and Manchester City in recent memory.

Aston Villa – 28/1

Aston Villa are currently 28/1 to win the Champions League this year. At the time of writing, they are yet to play PSG in the first leg of the quarter-finals and these odds could soon change! Aston Villa finished in 8th place in the new-look Champions League table after winning 5 of their eight games, drawing one, and losing 2. This allowed them direct passage to the round of 16 where they faced Belgian side Club Brugge. Unai Emery’s side easily dispatched them, winning 6-1 on aggregate with goals from Marco Asensio in both legs, Ian Maatsen, Leon Bailey, and and Brandon Mechele own goal.

Borussia Dortmund – 40/1

The final team left in the Champions League is none other than Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund are currently 40/1 to win the Champions League this year, and after getting to the final last year, it seems a far cry from that this time round. Dortmund are struggling domestically by their own standards, currently sitting 8th in the table after 28 games. However, for all their domestic woes, Dortmund have been impressive in Europe, with their striker Serhou Guirassy, scoring 10 in the competiton, level with Robert Lewandowski! At the time of writing, Dortmund are yet to play their first leg game against Barcelona in the quarter-finals. Therfore, again, these odds could change!
