Chelsea will fancy their chances of making home advantage count on Tuesday when they face a Lille side who have struggled to keep goals out.

The Blues have averaged almost 2 goals per game in the league this season whilst also netting 13 times in six Champions League matches.

Meanwhile, Lille have conceded an average of 1.4 goals per game in Ligue 1 this season.

Lukaku netted in both Chelsea’s Club World Cup as the Blues were crowned world champions.

He is also scored in his last outing in the competition as he found the back of the net against Zenit in Russia.

Match preview: Chelsea vs Lille OSC

Chelsea secured a very late win at Crystal Palace on Saturday to secure a crucial three points.

However, the performance of Thomas Tuchel’s side left a lot to be desired.

Lille’s poor domestic form

Following their stunning title win last season, a new look Lille side is struggling to replicate such form this term.

Lille are currently sat 11th in Ligue 1 and have won just twice in their last five matches.

Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side did however top their Champions League group finishing above RB Salzburg, Sevilla and Wolfsburg.

The French champions won all of their final three games to finish top of Group G.

Chelsea team news

Cesar Azpilicueta is a major doubt for Tuesday’s clash with a minor knock.

Mason Mount also remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

Ben Chilwell, Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all also unavailable.

Lille OSC team news

Angel Gomes is set to miss Tuesday’s match.

The forward was forced off with an injury against Metz on the weekend.
