Paris Saint-Germain v Brest preview

PSG swept into a seemingly-commanding first-leg lead last week, with in-form forward Ousmane Dembele scoring twice in a 3-0 away win.

They have progressed from 17 of the previous 18 times they have won the first leg of a Europan tie away from home, failing only against Manchester United in the 2018-19 Champions League.

The Parisians reached the final of the Champions League in 2020 – losing to Bayern Munich – but remain on the hunt for their first title.

No side has ever progressed from a two-legged Champions League knockout stage tie having lost the first leg at home by three or more goals so Brest will have to make history to reach the last 16.

Paris Saint-Germain v Brest team news

Paris Saint-Germain were able to rest several players at the weekend so Dembele – who has a remarkable 15 goals in 2025 alone – will be fresh to start in attack. Young midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery looks like the only injury concern as he continues to be troubled by an ankle injury.
Brest on the other hand are beset by injuries. Jordan Amavi (hamstring), Bradley Locko (Achilles), Jonas Martin and Ibrahim Salah are all set to miss out.
