Match preview
One of the more lopsided fixtures of the upcoming Championship gameweek is set to play out at Turf Moor on Saturday, March 11th.
The matchup in question will see top of the table play host to bottom, when Burnley go head-to-head with Wigan Athletic.
Beginning with the former, Burnley, of course, have stood as, by some way, the standout side in England’s 2nd tier across the season to date.
Recent weeks, though, have seen the Clarets look susceptible to dropped points.
One such stalemate came last time out, when a trip to Bloomfield Road to face relegation-battling Blackpool saw the two sides cancel each other out en route to an underwhelming 0-0.
The inconsistencies of Sheffield United behind them, though, mean that Burnley nevertheless maintain a full ten-point buffer atop the Championship standings.

Safe to say, then, that the upcoming visitors to Turf Moor will have their work firmly cut out for them on Saturday afternoon.
Wigan, as alluded to above, have endured an altogether less fruitful term than Burnley to date.
In fact, owing to wins in just seven of their 35 outings, the Latics find themselves propping up the table, a full six points adrift of safety.
On the back of the appointment of Shaun Maloney on the touchline late in January, Wigan did, momentarily, appear to have steadied the ship, in notching a four-game unbeaten stretch, which included commendable draws with both Norwich and Blackburn, as well as a win over fellow relegation candidates Huddersfield.
The last couple of weeks, however, have seen them brought firmly back down to earth.
A hard-fought defeat at West Bromwich Albion last time out means that Maloney and co. have now clinched just a solitary point from a possible nine dating back to last month.
And we at 101, for obvious reasons, do not envision the Latics’ situation improving all that much this weekend, either, backing Burnley to ultimately emerge from Turf Moor on the right side of the scoreline on Saturday evening.
