Peterborough have now lost three matches in a row and are rock bottom of the table.
The Posh were beaten 3-0 at home by Hull City last weekend.
The defeat leaves them nine points away from safety.
They were also eliminated from the FA Cup on Tuesday losing 2-0 against Man City.
