Our recommended bet for Monday’s clash at the MKM Stadium comes in the form of a draw between Hull City and Blackpool.

A £10 wager for such an outcome will secure you a return of £33 with Betway.

Match preview

A relegation six-pointer is on the cards in the Championship on December 26th, as Hull City prepare to welcome Blackpool to the MKM Stadium for a highly-anticipated showdown.

The two sides will head into proceedings separated by just two points in the table, with hosts Hull, for their part, boasting the advantage.

The Tigers, though, all told, have notched just a solitary victory from their last seven.

After being put to the sword by Reading in the club’s final outing ahead of the World Cup break, Liam Rosenior’s men have since notched back-to-back draws since their return to competitive action two weeks ago.

First, the Tigers battled to a goalless stalemate at Watford, before a home meeting with Sunderland saw Ozan Tufan strike late to cancel out Duncan Watmore’s opener.

All of this means that, despite being in possession of the division’s worst goal difference, Hull currently sit clear of the bottom three, by two points.

Upcoming opponents Blackpool, though, cannot say the same.

The seasiders currently occupy the final spot in the Championship relegation zone, having, alarmingly, racked up just two points from an available 18 since the beginning of November.

One such point came last time out, when a trip to Wales to face Cardiff saw Michael Appleton’s men thank Gary Madine for a share of the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate.

This came fresh off a goalless stalemate with Birmingham City the week prior.

Safe to say, then, that Blackpool could very much do with clinching a victory on Boxing Day, a result which would mark the club’s first in just shy of two months.

We at 101, though, are instead backing Hull to add ever further to the woes of the upcoming visitors to the MKM Stadium, in emerging from the festive contest with all three points.
