Match Preview

Tigers manager Shota Arveladze is in desperate need of a win this weekend with his side is abysmal form. Last time out saw them sink to a new low with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of struggling Swansea City. The defending for all three goals left fans furious, particularly the second where the centre-back and goalkeeper collided to present Luke Cundle with an empty net.

That result meant Hull have lost their last four league games on the trot and look a shadow of the side that started the season so promisingly. They go into this one as outsiders, despite being on home soil, with bookies pricing a Tigers win at 19/10.

The Hatters have had a very mixed campaign so far, winning three, losing three and drawing on four occasions. They do go into this clash on the back of a great result against high-flying Blackburn Rovers, beating the Lancashire side 2-0 prior to the international break. Nathan Jones will be hoping his side can build on that win and climb away from mid-table where they currently sit.

Luton may be boosted by several players returning from injury ahead of this game, with Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu, Luke Berry and Louie Watson all playing in the development squad game this week. Despite being the away side, Luton are strong favourites for this one thanks to Hull’s poor form, with bookies pricing the Hatters win at 11/8.
