Our recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at The Den comes in the form of a Sunderland victory over Millwall.

A £10 wager for such an outcome will secure you a return of £36 with Betway.

Match preview

Two sides separated by just a solitary point in the Championship table are set to lock horns at The Den on Saturday, February 4th.

The clash in question will see Millwall act as hosts, in a meeting with Sunderland.

Starting with the former, on the back of a pair of successive defeats, Millwall clinched a much-needed bounce-back victory last time out.

Despite being dominated by a relegation-battling Cardiff City outfit when it came to both possession and shots at goal, a solitary Tom Bradshaw effort ultimately proved enough to guide the Lions to all three points in the Welsh capital.

As things stand, Millwall sit 9th in the Championship table, but, owing to the remarkably tight-knit nature of the standings, just three points off 3rd.

Safe to say, then, that Saturday’s hosts will be altogether keen to make it two wins on the spin come the full-time whistle at The Den.

This comes with their upcoming opponents trailing Millwall by just a point in the table (albeit whilst having played a game more).

Sunderland, for their part, have looked largely impressive of late, en route to defeat in just one of their last eight outings across all competitions.

This stretch includes particularly noteworthy results in each of their last two, with a 2-0 downing of in-form Middlesbrough having been followed last time out by a 1-1 FA Cup stalemate with top-flight Fulham.

The Black Cats, viewed as potential contenders for the drop earlier in the campaign, will therefore head into the weekend’s action with confidence high in the camp.

We at 101 therefore view Tony Mowbray’s men as narrow favourites to ultimately emerge from The Den with all three points, a result which would see them leapfrog Millwall in the standings in England’s 2nd tier.
