Middlesbrough’s Championship schedule was halted by their FA Cup quarter-final tie against Chelsea.
Boro’s impressive run in the competition was brought to an end by Chelsea.
The Blues won 2-0 at the Riverside to reach the last four of the competition.
Chris Wilder’s side will now be fully focused on securing a playoff spot this season.
They are currently 7th in the table, two points off 6th place and have two games in hand over Blackburn.
