Match preview: Queens Park Rangers vs Sheffield United

QPR looked destined for at least a playoff spot a few months ago, however, they are now almost certainly out of the race.

The R’s find themselves 6 points off 6th place and require multiple teams to drop points if they are to make it.

Mark Warburton’s side have won just three times in their last 15 matches and have dropped into 10th place.

On the weekend, they also suffered a 10th defeat during that same run, as they were beaten 1-0 by Stoke City.

Sheffield United secure crucial win over Cardiff

Sheffield United claimed a crucial win on Saturday as they defeated Cardiff City.

The Blades won 1-0 to secure a first victory in four matches.

Ndiaye netted the only goal of the game at Bramall Lane.

The race for the playoffs is really starting to heat up with 6th to 9th place being separated by just three points.

The final spot in the playoffs is currently occupied by Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

However, Millwall, Blackburn and Middlesbrough are all waiting to take advantage of any slip ups.
