Match preview: Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest

Sheffield United’s push for the playoffs was dealt a major blow last weekend as they suffered defeat.

The Blades were beaten 1-0 by Millwall at the Den.

The defeat leaves Paul Heckingbottom’s side 7th in the table.

The South Yorkshire are just one point off Luton who are sat in 6th.

Nottingham Forest defeat Bristol City

Nottingham Forst returned to winning ways last Saturday as they defeated Bristol City.

Steve Cooper’s side won 2-0 at home with goals from James Garner and Brennan Johnson.

The win sees them climb into 9th place and just three points off the playoffs.

Friday’s clash with Sheffield could have big implications on which side finishes in the top six.

Charlie Goode is suspended for Friday’s clash.

Enda Stevens, Jayden Bogle, Rhian Brewster, David McGoldrick, Jack O’Connell and Ben Osborn are all sidelined.

Nottingham Forest team news

Max Lowe is ineligible to play with Sheffield Unite being his parent club.

Goalkeeper Brice Samba is also unavailable due to suspension.

Both Loic Mbe Soh and Lewis Grabban remain sidelined due to injuries.
