Our recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at Bramall Lane comes in the form of a Sheffield United victory over Stoke City, by two goals to nil.

A £10 wager for such an outcome will secure you a return of £70 with Betway.

Match preview

A Sheffield United outfit continuing their efforts to hunt down table-topping Burnley will act as hosts, in a Championship meeting with struggling Stoke City on Saturday, January 14th.

The Blades, of course, have long been in the midst of a stellar stretch of form.

En route to opening up a hefty advantage over the rest of the promotion-chasing pack in England’s 2nd tier, and establishing themselves as a near-lock to return to the top-flight, Paul Heckingbottom’s troops have rattled off nine wins from 11 across all competitions.

The latest of these came last weekend, when goals on the part of Daniel Jebbison and Jayden Bogle guided United into the 4th round of the FA Cup at Millwall’s expense.

This comes after a 96th-minute John Egan strike was required to ensure that the Blades departed Loftus Road with a hard-fought share of the spoils.

In truth, though, a swift return to the win column should not prove overly difficult to come by for Sheffield United this weekend.

This comes with their upcoming opponents having endured an altogether less productive time of things of late.

Stoke, to their credit, did march on in the FA Cup last weekend, courtesy of a comfortable win over League Two Hartlepool United.

Back on the Championship front, though, the Potters have clinched all three points in just one of their last five attempts.

Not only that, but each of their last two outings have culminated in defeat, at the hands of Burnley and Preston North End respectively.

Such woes mean that Alex Neil and co. remain in the thick of the battle against relegation, sitting in 18th, just four points clear of the drop zone.

And we at 101 do not envision their situation improving all that much come the final whistle at Bramall Lane, either, backing hosts Sheffield United to emerge as dominant victors on Saturday afternoon.
