Match preview
Two sides desperate for a return to winning ways are set to lock horns in a Championship clash at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, February 15th.
The matchup in question will see Swansea City act as hosts, in a meeting with bottom of the table Blackpool.
Beginning with the former, Swansea have endured an altogether difficult time of things of late.
Once in the thick of the promotion playoff picture, the Swans, over the last couple of months, have fallen off the pace in alarming fashion, to the tune of just two wins from their last 16 outings across all competitions.
The latest came this past weekend, when Sheffield United made short work of the Welsh heavyweights en route to a 3-0 drubbing at Bramall Lane.
Such woes, all told, mean that Swansea find themselves dwindling in a lowly 16th spot in England’s 2nd tier.

And yet, despite all of their troubles of late, Martin and co. will likely head into the midweek round of action in the Championship confident in their chances of turning things around.
This comes with their upcoming opponents currently in possession of the worst record in the division.
Blackpool, after notching a respectable six wins from their opening 17 fixtures of the term, have since failed to secure even a single one from the club’s ensuing 13 attempts..
To their credit, the seasiders have managed draws in each of their last two, against fellow relegation candidates Huddersfield and Rotherham respectively.
But a complete inability to turn stalemate positions into winning ones means that, owing to a rare Wigan victory at the weekend, Mick McCarthy’s men find themselves in possession of basement dweller status, four points from safety.
And, in truth, it is altogether difficult to envision this situation improving all that much on Wednesday night.
Instead, we at 101 are backing Swansea to ultimately secure a return to winning ways at Blackpool’s expense.
At odds of 3/1, though, punting on an eventual sharing of the spoils at the Liberty Stadium looks tempting, too.
