Our recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at the DW Stadium comes in the form of a draw between Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City.

A £10 wager for such an outcome will secure you a return of £30 with Betway.

Match preview

Two sides absolutely desperate for a return to winning ways are set to lock horns in a Championship clash at the DW Stadium this Saturday, March 4th.

The matchup in question will see Wigan Athletic act as hosts, in a meeting with Birmingham City.

Beginning with the former, Wigan, of course, currently find themselves in the thick of the battle against relegation to League One.

The Latics currently sit dead bottom of England’s 2nd tier, locked on points with both Blackpool and Huddersfield Town, and four points from safety.

Last time out, however, Wigan were brought firmly back down to earth, courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 defeat at Preston North End.

Safe to say, then, that Saturday’s hosts will have their sights set firmly on a bounce-back result, come the full-time whistle at the DW Stadium.

And, in truth, as much looks far from out of the question.

This comes with upcoming opponents Birmingham City having found positive results a major struggle to come by of late.

Since looking as though they had turned a corner courtesy of back-to-back wins over Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion early last month, Birmingham have seen their form fall off the side of a cliff.

The Blues have now fallen to defeat in each of their last four, a stretch which, alarmingly, includes downings at the hands of both Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town.

John Eustace’s men, as a result, have tumbled back towards the bottom three, now sitting just seven points clear of safety.

We at 101 therefore view an eventual sharing of the spoils as the most likely outcome upon the action being brought to a close at the DW later today.

Forced to give the edge to one side over the other, though, we would in fact opt for Championship basement dwellers Wigan to emerge on the right side of the result.
